CLP Power has donated and partnered with Po Leung Kuk to provide CLP Hotmeal Canteen service in Sham Shui Po, Kwun Tong and Kwai Tsing. In addition to the donation made by CLP Power, our customers and the public have given tremendous support to CLP Hotmeal Canteen. A record-high level of donations from customers and the public was raised during the pandemic, showing people’s exceptional care for others despite challenging economic times.
The Canteens provide nutritious hot meals at discounted prices to the low-income families, unemployed people, and elderly people. The meals are supervised by dieticians and cater for people with special dietary requirements and conditions such as diabetes.
“I have been living alone since my husband passed away, and it is difficult especially during the pandemic. I enjoy not only the nutritious hot meals in affordable price at the Canteen, but also join in different activities with the caring CLP volunteers. It helps me live in a happier and healthier lifestyle.”
