The Elderly Yum Cha programme is a territory-wide community initiative launched by CLP in 2015. Working with four major catering associations, members of 14 District Councils in Kowloon, the New Territories and outlying islands and NGO partners, the programme returns in 2016 to provide 80,000 breakfast coupons for 40,000 senior citizens to enjoy free breakfasts and expand their social networks.
By using their senior citizen cards and the coupons, elderly people can enjoy two dim sum options with the tea charge and 10 per cent service charge waived on weekday mornings (except on public holidays) at more than 170 participating restaurants between 3 May and 30 June 2016.
