Launched in 2013, the Green Volunteers for Seniors Programme is one of the CLP ’s initiatives in helping the elderly to save energy and supporting the government policy’s objective on energy conservation.

Between 2013 and 2014, CLP Volunteer Team joined hands with 14 community partners to give out 6,000 LED light bulbs and energy-saving kits to 3,000 single elderly or elderly couples aged 60 or above living in the CLP's supply areas.

CLP volunteers helped the elders install LED light bulbs which can save over 80% of electricity and shared electrical safety information and simple energy saving tips with them.
