Social Inclusion Programme

CLP is partnering with the Vocational Training Council (VTC) to launch the Social Inclusion Programme, bringing together Gen Z and seniors served by Yan Chai Hospital to form “Intergenerational CPs”. Through this cross‑sector collaboration, we celebrate the digital innovation of young people alongside the rich life experience and wisdom of the older generation, co-creating a more sustainable and inclusive future for all.

Through a series of engaging intergenerational workshops, the two generations connect, blending innovative ideas with traditional knowledge, learning from one another.

Highlights of Workshops

Both generations explore how smartphones reshape daily life — from managing electricity accounts on the go via the CLP App; playing “Eco Fun” mini game to learn energy‑saving tips and earn rewards; and swapping low‑carbon living hacks with each other. Seniors can equip themselves with practical anti-scam skills and leverage the convenience of AI and digitalisation to access the right resources and services, enriching their retirement life. While Gen Z practise digital detox from the seniors — switching off devices to regain life's focus and reduce anxiety.

With interest in wellness growing, seniors are a priceless treasure trove of wisdom. In this workshop, they become wellness mentors, sharing their nutrition know-how and traditional healthy recipes, while the younger generation leverages AI to design innovative, nutritious dishes! Through this lively exchange, both generations explore safe and eco-friendly all-electric cooking. From choosing smart appliances and improving kitchen safety to practising high-quality green living, it all starts in the all-electric kitchen!

Two generations get moving with right‑fit routines. Seniors learn simple strength exercises, health basics and experience AI fitness devices; while Gen Z try Qigong, Tai Chi and gentle stretches. By following a golden daily routine, they build lasting healthy habits! Participants also learn to link this fitness mindset to home energy management — tracking electricity use and appliance health so that everyone, and every home, stays "Energy Fit"!
