The mural showcases the unique diversity of Sai Kung District through different community landmarks, like Sai Kung Pier, the Geopark, Seafood Street, dragon boat races, Tseung Kwan O Cross Bay Bridge, and the Hong Kong Velodrome, highlighting natural scenery in Sai Kung and vibrant new town of Tseung Kwan O. The mural also promotes the concepts of low-carbon and sustainable development featuring solar panels on rooftops of village houses and electric vehicles which encourage the public to recognise the importance of environmental protection. It is hoped that Sai Kung District will shine and bring hope and vitality to residents and visitors alike.
