Mr. Gary Chu joined the CLP Customer Consultative Group in 2021. Prior to joining CCG, Mr CHU was the Vice-Chairman of Tsuen Wan CLP LCAC.

Mr. Chu is the Vice-Chairman of Yan Chai Hospital Board. Mr Chu is the Director of Tak Sang Holdings Ltd, Director of Chu Chung Shing Investment Co., Ltd, Director of Sunny Elegant Ltd and Managing Director of Tak Sang Jewellery & Goldsmith Ltd.

Besides, Mr. Chu has been appointed and involved in a number of public and voluntary services. He is the Vice-president of The federation of District Sports Associations of Hong Kong, Vice-Chairman of The New Territories Regional Sports Association, Member of The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Vice-president of The Association for Hong Kong Catering Services Management Limited, Executive Director of Hong Kong Hakka Association, Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Federation of Huichow Association, Executive Vice-chairman of Federation of Hong Kong Huiyang Association, Vice Chairman of New Territories General Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Tsuen Wan Trade Association Ltd, Vice-chairman of Tsuen Wan Trade Association Education Foundation, Chairman of Wai Yeung Merchants Association, Director of Wai Yeung Merchants Association Education Fund, Supervisor of Wai Kiu College, Member of District Co-ordinating Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service, Tsuen Wan / Kwai Tsing District, Social Welfare Department, Convenor of District Fire Safety Committee (Tsuen Wan District) Working Group, Chairperson of Fire Safety Ambassador Honorary Presidents' Association (Tsuen Wan District), Honorary President of Tsuen Wan District Junior Police Call Honorary President Council, Chairman of The Federation of Tsuen Wan District Sports & Recreation Association Ltd, Vice-chairman of Tsuen Wan Dragon Boat Championship Organising Committee, Manager of Yan Chai Hospital No.2 Secondary School, and Member of Hospital Governing Committee of Yan Chai Hospital, Hospital Authority etc.

In addition, Mr. Chu was the Standing Committee Member of the 11^th & 12^th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (Huizhou Municipal) and the appointed member of Tsuen Wan District Council.

Mr. Chu was awarded the Chief Executive's Commendation for Community Service in 2017 and awarded the Medal of Honour in 2023.
