Mr. Gary Chu joined the CLP Customer Consultative Group in 2021. Prior to joining CCG, Mr. Chu was the Vice-Chairman of Tsuen Wan CLP LCAC.

Mr. Chu is the Chairman of Yan Chai Hospital Board (2025-2026) and also the Tsuen Wan District Council District Committees Constituencies (DCCs') elected member. Mr Chu is the Director of Tak Sang Holdings Ltd, Director of Chu Chung Shing Investment Co., Ltd, Director of Sunny Elegant Ltd and Director of Tak Sang Jewellery & Goldsmith Ltd.

Besides, Mr. Chu has been appointed and involved in a number of public and voluntary services. In addition, Mr. Chu was the Standing Committee Member of the 11th &12th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (Huizhou Municipal) and the appointed member of Tsuen Wan District Council (2008-2011).

Mr. Chu was awarded the Chief Executive's Commendation for Community Service in 2017 and awarded the Medal of Honour in 2023.
