Dr. Johnnie Chan is the Chairman of the CLP Customer Consultative Group and has been a member of the Group since 2011.

Dr. Chan is the Non-Executive Chairman of Savills Services Group. He has been appointed and involved in a number of public and voluntary services. He is the Past President of The Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies Limited, the Past President of The Hong Kong Institute of Housing and the former Chairman of the Housing Managers Registration Board. 

Dr. Chan is also a member of Hong Kong Housing Authority and the Chairman of its Building Committee, a member of its Commercial Properties Committee and a member of the Strategic Planning Committee, the Vice-Chairman of the Hong Kong Water Sports Council, an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Urban Planning and Design, The University of Hong Kong, the Advisory Committee Member of Building and Real Estate, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Advisory Peer Group Member of Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration, Hong Kong Metropolitan University. 

Apart from that, Dr. Chan is also a member of Special Committee on Elderly Housing and the Audit Committee Member of Hong Kong Housing Society, a member of Property Management Services Authority, the Honorary Advisor of Building Services Operation and Maintenance Executives Society, a member of the Occupational Safety and Health Council under the Labour and Welfare Bureau, the Hospital Governing Committee Member of Ruttonjee and Tang Shiu Kin Hospitals under the Hospital Authority, the Vice-Chairman of the Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health, a member of Elderly Commission, the Appointed Director of the Board of Directors of the Sik Sik Yuen and a member of the Olympic House Management Committee of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China. In addition, Dr. Chan is the Honorary Member of Auxiliary Medical Service with over 40 years of services.
