Understand the application requirements, maximum funding amount, funding scope and key details for the Subvented Organisation Energy Saving Improvement Scheme

Eligibility

You may apply for the Scheme if:

Buildings located in the CLP’s supply area; that are not owned and operated by the Government; and

  • Community-use buildings operated by Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) that receive subvention from the Social Welfare Department (SWD), as listed in the latest SWD subvention allocation; or
  • Schools (except Government and profit-making schools).

For community-use buildings not covered by the above, the eligibility will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Scope of Funding

Provide funding for implementing the recommended energy improvement works based on the results of energy audit conducted by CLP, such as replacing lighting and air conditioning systems, installing solar power systems, or implementing other decarbonisation measures, and for implementing the electric vehicle charging installation for the private electric commercial vehicle(s).

Note:

Receiving funding under this Scheme for the installation of a solar power system will not be entitled eligible to apply for the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) Scheme for the same project.

HK$3,000,000 (per building) or HK$5,000,000 (per organisation)

Subsidy Rate

Energy Efficiency Improvements Works

Subsidy Rate

100% of the cost for energy efficiency improvements works (supply and installation)

Electric Commercial Vehicle Charging Installation

Subsidy Rate

100% of the selling price for electric vehicle charging installation, inclusive of supply and installation costs, subject to a maximum limit of HK$100,000

Subside Ceiling

HK$200,000* (per supply address) or HK$1,000,000 (per organisation)

* limited to a maximum of two electric vehicle charging installations per each supply address.

Priority

Priority will be given to applicants fulfilling the following criteria:

  • To implement projects with higher energy saving cost effectiveness**;
  • To implement retrofitting works in compliance with Building Energy Efficiency Ordinance (Cap. 610)**;
  • Site accessibility and readiness for installation works;
  • The applicant has not received / will not receive alternative sources of funding for energy improvement works; and
  • The applicant has not submitted more than one application under this Scheme.
** Not applicable to electric commercial vehicle charging installation.
