Environmental Education

Education and Development

CLP launches a range of education and youth programmes on energy, engineering, and the environment, covering the entire education pathway, to teach our next generation energy-saving habits for a low-carbon future.

CLP Power Low Carbon Energy Education Centre

The CLP Power Low Carbon Energy Education Centre is sponsored by CLP Power and located at the City University of Hong Kong. The centre uses an innovative array of multimedia and interactive elements to illustrate application of different low-carbon energies in addressing the climate challenge. The centre provides free physical and virtual guided tours and a variety of educational activities, bringing visitors an interesting and thought-provoking learning experience.

Distribution Box Beautification Project

CLP’s Distribution Box Beautification Project connects art and technology with people to work towards a greener and more sustainable community together. By bringing a touch of contemporary art depicting local landmarks, culture and green elements by local design students and artists, the project aims to power up the community with bright colours, social connectivity, and a common goal for a greener future. Art tech is also applied in the design to enhance the interaction and engagement with audiences through IG filters. The project includes a Community Power Journey for the public. Through the appreciation of beautified distribution box and local landmarks, tour participants will be able to learn more about electricity, energy conservation, and local history and culture. The project covers 14 districts of CLP’s supply area in Kowloon, the New Territories, and outlying islands.
