2025 New Record-Breaking Feast:
Electric Kitchens for a Greener Tomorrow
CLP Power Hong Kong Limited (CLP Power) on 17 May set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the “Largest Induction Cooker Word” by laying out 1,000 induction cookers to spell “CARBON NEUTRAL” in an event held at Lok Fu Place to raise public awareness of decarbonisation. The induction cookers were donated to families in light public housing and transitional housing after the event to help reduce their energy costs.
The event titled “New Record-Breaking Feast: Electric Kitchens for a Greener Tomorrow” was attended by 350 residents from light public housing and transitional housing. Together with officiating guests Secretary for Housing Ms Winnie Ho and CLP Power Managing Director Mr Joseph Law, they wrapped rice dumplings and cooked them using the induction cookers. The rice dumplings made by the participants were given to families living in light public housing and transitional housing to celebrate the Tuen Ng Festival.
Highlights of New Record-Breaking Feast: Electric Kitchens for a Greener Tomorrow:
The success of the event relied entirely on the strong support of various organisations, working together to promote carbon neutrality in Hong Kong.
