Technical Design Notes for Grid Connection of Small Renewable Energy (RE) Systems (PDF)

Outlines the design requirements and considerations for:

• Inverter-based RE Systems with generation capacity of up to 1MW; and 
• Non-inverter-based RE Systems with generation capacity of up to 200kW.

Sets out the general technical requirements for the parallel connection of your RE systems connecting to CLP’s 11 kV or 380V system.

Grid Connection Standard of Renewable Energy System (PDF)

Sets out the general technical requirements for the parallel connection of your RE systems connecting to CLP's 11 kV or 380V system.

The legacy Grid Connection Requirements and the two new Grid Connection Standards of Renewable Energy Systems and Grid Connection Standards of Battery Energy Storage Systems will both be applicable from 2 March 2026 to 31 August 2026. The Grid Connection Standards will be fully effective on 1 September 2026.

During this transition period, new grid connection applications that opt to comply with the legacy Grid Connection Requirements must be submitted on or before 31 August 2026, and the corresponding project must be commissioned within two years from the application date.

Applications submitted on or after 1 September 2026 will be required to comply with the new Grid Connection Standards.

Feed-in Tariff Scheme Standard Metering Requirements (PDF)
